Message Both of the 2 people above have expressed good opinions...
I will say that without manifolds the sport 600 turbos are too laggy for my taste for a street car.

The statement made by Dee about stock motors with cast pistons not holding up to 22 to 24 psi boost I disagree with.

What causes a problem with this boost level is people running pump gas or poorly tuned cars.

I have customer with a completely stock internal motor that I put together for him several years ago with sport 500 turbos.
He runs race fuel most of time and runs 24 PSI. He has done this since we put the car together and now has over 100,000 miles on this set up. He goes to the track all the time and races on the street almost every week. After all this abuse it still does not smoke at all and he has run a personal best in the car a couple weeks ago of 11.4 in the 1/4. His screen name is SirpriZ.

I their are many others, But Mark has the most miles with beating the crap out of it the longest and he just keeps going faster :)

The other person worthy of note is ZHOUND....His TD05-18G powered Z also has a completely stock short block and he runs 27 psi when his wastegates let him and he beats his car hard all the time as well. He is running high 10's in his car with the stock short block.

So what I am saying is it is mostly about the fuel.
The Z32 engine will not take detonation or overheating....Other then that you pretty much can not kill them.

Even with forged pistons you will nuke the motor if you try to run too much boost on pump fuel.

:) Sorry it got so long!
